What is a SonAmy Fanbrat?

SonAmy stands for Sonic/Amy, currently the most popular Sonic the Hedgehog-related couple. Fanbrats are people who like SonAmy, but take their like/love for the couple too seriously. SonAmy fanbrats are everywhere in the SonAmy fandom, to the point where it is getting annoying.

But how do we tell the difference between SonAmy fans and SonAmy fanbrats? SonAmy fans are generally nice, mature people. SonAmy fanbrats usually are not. SonAmy fanbrats are likely to:

Bash characters such as Sally, Blaze or Elise without good reason. SonAmy fanbrats often hate Sally and/or Blaze because they have hints with Sonic that appears to “threaten” Sonic and Amy’s relationship, according to their logic. So most SonAmy fanbrats are Sally and/or Blaze haters, and often hate them for no good reason at all. Some even go as far as to draw kill art of said two characters. They sometimes even tend to continuously say "DIE SALLY DIE!" on message boards or on other places.

They are likely to flame people/clubs who hate SonAmy, or anyone who disagrees with them about how great SonAmy is.

They are likely to hate all pairings involving Sonic barring Sonic/Amy, mainly Sonic/Sally or Sonic/Blaze. Some of them even flame Sonic/Sally art/fanfiction bashing Sally and harping on about how great SonAmy is ALL OF THE TIME as if it's the only thing that matters.

They're very overprotective of SonAmy; anyone who bashes it gets flamed by them.

Sometimes they invent pairings to get characters out of the way, so SonAmy isn't "interfered" with. Some people pair Blaze with Shadow or Espio just for the sake of getting Blaze away from Sonic. Some people pair Sally with <insert character here> just to get Sally away from Sonic. Some people might pair Elise with Eggman to get her away from Sonic.

They sometimes flame pro-Sally art, pro-Blaze art or Sonic/Anyone other than Amy art.

Not all fanbrats have all of the above symptoms, but you get the idea.

So why do we hate them?

They take the pairing too far. Yes, I know there are fanbrats in every fandom. There are fanbrats in the Tails/Cream fandom, there are fanbrats in the Knuckles/Rouge fandom. Why are we only against the SonAmy fanbrats? Because SonAmy has the worst fanbrats of them all. And we're the people who have had enough of them tearing apart what used to be a perfectly good fandom.

I am a SonAmy fan. I have been for years. Nearly every one of my friends liked or loved SonAmy as a couple. Nowadays, less and less of them like SonAmy. It is beginning to become unpopular. No, it's not because of Sally and Sonic/Sally. It's not because of Blaze and her moments with Sonic in Sonic Rush. It's because of the SonAmy fanbrats; bashing Sally, bashing Blaze, whining and complaining, harping on about how much SonAmy rules as if their lives depend on it.

They are, believe it or not, destroying the SonAmy fandom. It may be unintentional, but they're still destroying it, plaguing the fandom with Sally-bashing and flames. They are the cause of mature SonAmy fans being stereotyped as Sally-hating n00bs. More serious, mature fans of SonAmy are losing interest, even going as far as to dislike the pairing, because of these fanbrats. We've had enough of it.

Dislikers of SonAmy have been on the receiving end of the SonAmy fanbrats' tantrums about how SonAmy is the best pairing in the world and how they should die just because they have a different opinion of the couple. Do they deserve it, because their opinions are different? No, they do not deserve it at all. Do Sally and Blaze, two cartoon characters, deserve to be hated for rubbish reasons such as "they stole Sonic from Amy!"? No, they do not.

That is why we are against SonAmy fanbrats. This club is to save the SonAmy fandom from it's immature fans.

Do you hate SonAmy?

This club is NOT against SonAmy as a pairing. I myself am a huge fan of the pairing (it is one of my OTPs). Please do not think this club is anti-SonAmy. We also do NOT hate the mature fans who do not bash Sally and Blaze, who do not flame anyone who hates SonAmy. We are against the fanbrats who spoil SonAmy for others only.

Do I have to like SonAmy to join?

Of course you don't. You can either like or hate SonAmy to be a member of this club. It does not matter, so long as you are against the SonAmy fanbrats who make the SonAmy fandom a painful place to be, whether it be the Anti-SonAmy fandom or the Pro-SonAmy fandom. Please note though that I will be checking to see if you are a fanbrat before I add you to the member's list. If you are considered a fanbrat, then I am sorry, but I will not add you.

Are there any rules?

What's a club without rules? Of course there are rules!

No flaming the fanbrats. We're hoping to get them to grow up, not cause them to be resentful towards us. They need to learn on their own and flaming them won't help. If anything, all we want is for them to grow up. Flaming them won't help.

SonAmy fanbrats do not flame us. This club would not have been made if it were not for your behaviour which is destroying our fandom. That, and we do know how to report people for harassment and abuse.

No kill art of any kind. No character/couple bashing art of any kind. We do not accept anti-SonAmy art or pro-SonAmy art here, as not to offend the SonAmy haters and SonAmy fans by bashing/pro art of SonAmy.

What kind of art do you allow?

As mentioned above, we do NOT allow SonAmy bashing art or pro-SonAmy art, or character/couple bashing art. We do not allow kill art.

What we do allow is art of Sonic and Amy's possible (negative) reactions to the SonAmy fanbrats. We do allow art humiliating SonAmy fanbrats. We do allow art of Blaze, Sally or another character's (negative) reactions to the SonAmy fanbrats. We also allow protect art of females that are bashed by SonAmy fanbrats.

Are you just against the fanbrats?

We're not only an anti-SonAmy-fanbrats club. We are also a protect-female-characters-attacked-by-SonAmy-fanbrats-club. So basically, while we ridicule and show our dislike for fanbrats who destroy the SonAmy fandom, we also protect some of the characters bashed by them. Here is a list of the following characters that this club protects:

Sally Acorn
Princess Elise
Blaze the Cat
Fiona Fox
Mina Mongoose

You don't have to like any of them. You don't have to feel the need to protect any of them. The main purpose of this club is to be against fanbrats. Protecting females that get bashed by fanbrats is more of a side purpose.

We're not against Amy Rose. We're not against Sonic the Hedgehog. The majority of fanbrats do not attack these two characters, which is why they're not generally protected unless it's protecting them from images fanbrats give them.

Where do I sign up?

Either comment or note. Be warned though, that I will be making sure you are not a fanbrat first. If you are considered a fanbrat, then sorry, but I cannot add you. Hypocrisy isn't a good thing in a club.
